Blood Drive: On December 5th, CV JROTC will be supporting a blood drive conducted by the Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank. This event will be held from 8 am to 4 pm at St. James Presbyterian Church, 1425 Orrs Bridge Road, Hampden Township. There is a critical need for blood donations since the pandemic has made it difficult to reach available donors. We are asking CV students, family, staff, faculty, and other community members to rally around this important cause. It is recommended that individuals set up an appointment online or by phone. That information will be published soon; please watch for it. Walk-ins are welcome, but they will be fit in between appointments. If students are not accompanied by a parent, they must have a consent form (see attached) signed in ink by a parent. Please join us on December 5. Even one pint of blood is capable of saving up to 3 lives. (12/5)
Thank You Grams: This year CV Mini-THON is doing a fundraiser unlike ones they’ve done in the past. They are currently selling Thank You Grams! A student can buy one Thank You Gram for a minimum donation of $1 and send them to any teachers they have had throughout their time at CV. This is also open to students in the elementary and middle schools; so if you have any siblings or friends that this would interested, please send them the form linked below. Help us spread the word about this fundraiser through sending the link to anyone in the CV district and reposting on your Instagram stories. You can send out as many Thank You Grams as you want! This is a great way to thank our teachers for all they've done for us this year, and we can do it all FTK! (11/25) Thank you gram form

Poetry Out Loud: Are you someone who loves poetry and performing? Then you may want to consider entering the Poetry Out Loud competition. This is a national competition held every year, and past winners have won scholarships at the state and national level competitions. An informational meeting will be held on December 2nd at 12:30pm via Zoom. Here we will go over the details and basic requirements of the competition. Please contact Mrs. Gingrich at JGingrich@cvschools.org to get the Zoom link. (12/2)
