Mr. David
Gilbert supervises CVHS's College and Career Pathways. In this
capacity, he oversees the districts secondary integrated arts
departments (Art, Business, Family & Consumer Sciences, &
Technology Education). Additionally, he directs CV's dual-enrollment
and College in the High School courses. He also provides leadership and
direction to CV's internship program.
Prior to his current position, Mr. Gilbert served as an assistant
principal at Cumberland Valley High School. Previously, he was a social
studies teacher in the Carlisle Area School District.
Mr. Gilbert began his educational career at Palisades High School in
Kintnersville, PA. Upon graduation, he entered Messiah College and
graduated with a BA in History. Mr. Gilbert followed up his time at
Messiah College by enrolling in the Masters of Education program at The
Pennsylvania State University, focusing on Educational Leadership. He
completed his coursework there in 2011.
Mr. Gilbert and his wife, Anna, have three children. In his free time,
Mr. Gilbert enjoys sports, reading, and spending time with his family.
