  • Internship Requirements
What are the requirements during the internship?

  • 1. Required Documentation for Student:
        a. Internship students are required to complete a weekly log, which summarizes their experiences and time worked. The internship host must sign the log and the student will submit the log electronically through Schoology to the Career Coordinator.

  •     b. At the end of the internship experience, students must submit a one-page, MLA style reflection report summarizing the experience. This report is required in order to earn a passing grade for the Internship Program and must be submitted electronically through Schoology.

  • 2. Required Documentation for Internship Host:
        a. The internship host will complete and submit an evaluation form to provide feedback to the internship student.

  • 3. Oversight by CV’s Career Coordinator:
        a. CV’s Career Coordinator will visit the student at their internship site each marking period to observe the student and meet with the internship host.

  • How are internships graded and awarded credit?

  • Internships are recorded on the student’s high school transcript as a Pass/Fail grade. One quarter (.25) credit is granted by CV for every 30 hours spent at the internship site, up to 2 internship credits (240 hours total). Cumberland Valley grades internships on a Pass/Fail basis determined by the internship host evaluation, submission of weekly logs, and the final reflection report.
