Engineering & Industrial Technology Internships

ACE (Architecture, Construction, and Engineering) Mentor Program

ACE provides an opportunity to learn about different construction/engineering and architectural careers — and discover which one might be right for you. During the meetings, students will hear presentations from various engineers, architects and construction managers regarding their profession. After the presentation, students will be engaged in a hands-on activity related to that discipline. The program provides a practical hands-on view of how abstract concepts get transformed into the buildings that make up our community. Students will work in teams to create an actual building project which is presented to parents and teachers at a banquet. Students must complete an application through the ACE Mentor Program in mid-September and be selected for this program. Meetings begin in October and conclude in March. The meetings are held from 5:000 PM-6:30 PM at the Cumberland Perry Career and Technical School. Credit is based on attendance and completion of the program.

Applications are available around the 2nd week in September.  Accepted students are notified the first of October.  See Mrs. Consevage for information on applying.

Grade: This internship opportunity is available for students in grades 10, 11 and 12.
