HACC College in the High School Course Enrollment Process

Step 1:  During the course selection window, students will decide which College in the High School (CHS) course(s) they would like to take in consultation with their parents/guardians, teachers, and counselors.

Step 2:  During the course selection process, students will add the CHS course(s) to their course selection sheets to indicate their desire to enroll in a CHS course.

Step 3:  Cumberland Valley High School will send a roster of students and courses to HACC based on course selection sheets.

Step 4:  Students will complete an on-line application to HACC. Students will follow the steps outline here:  https://www.hacc.edu/Admissions/Apply/HighSchoolStudents/Apply-and-Enroll.cfmThe CHS/DE Signature page is online and upon completion of the application, students will be prompted to complete this form.  When completing the Signature Page, please add Melissa Ferguson as the "School Counselor" ([email protected]).  Once a student has applied, they will receive information via email (Hawkmail account) regarding New Student Orientation and Class Registration/Class Enrollment Information.
Step 4A:  Students who require placement testing will be contacted to complete placement testing at no cost.  Information about placement testing will be sent to the student's Hawkmail from the orientation team ([email protected]). If students need help determining if they are exempt from placement testing or not based on the link for multiple measures on the page, they can email [email protected].

Step 5:  Students will submit their unofficial transcripts to HACC.  Transcripts are available to all students in Skyward under the Portfolio Tile.  Students may be required to provide additional information to HACC at their request.

Step 6:
HACC will enroll students in the requested CHS course(s) once the CHS Application, Enrollment Form and any necessary SAT scores or placement testing scores are received.
