Any student bringing a guest not enrolled at CVHS to a dance, must complete a guest pass form. Below is a copy of the Guest Pass form. The form requires the guest to attain signatures from their parent and an administrator from their high school. If the guest has graduated from high school, only a parent signature is required. The parent is vouching for the character of their son or daughter to attend a high school function. If a guest is 21 years of age or older, permission from the high school principal must be attained. Most times, a simple conversation is all that is needed.

High school dances are only for high school students and their guests. Students in middle school may not attend. This policy is strictly enforced.

Dances qualify as an extra-curricular activity and therefore, follow the random drug testing (RDT) policy. All CVHS students attending dances need to have completed the RDT forms found on the parent portal of CVSIS. If parents do not have access to the portal, a hardcopy of the form is required. Below is the link for the RDT forms. Please only compete if unable to use the parent portal.

A committee of students and administrators met to discuss and agree upon a school dance dress code that would promote a healthy, safe, and enjoyable event for all involved. This dress code is intended to cover all CVHS dances including, but not limited to Homecoming and Prom. A full listing of the acceptable vs. non-acceptable attire is on in the student Handbook.
