Club Green

We provide our high school access to an environmental focused club. We
help start the conversation about environmental issues with our community.
Club Green focuses on sharing low waste crafts, combating the littering problem on Cumberland Valley grounds and sharing tips on how to live a low waste lifestyle.

Coding Club

Students will share coding challenges and their love for writing programs. Students will talk about contests and other coding opportunities.

Cumberland Valley FFA

Cumberland Valley FFA is the intra-curricular organization for students enrolled in an Agricultural Science course at CVHS. Prior to 1988, FFA stood for "Future Farmers of America," but changed its official name to the National FFA Organization to represent the growing diversity of agriculture and natural resources. The mission of FFA is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through Agricultural Education.

CV Asian Culture Club

CV Asian Culture Club will be working to spread and promote awareness within our community about the cultures, backgrounds, and heritages of countries in Asia. We will talk about current news and events, engage in various controversial topics, and allow members to express their personal experiences.

CV Linguistics Olympiad

In the fall/winter, CV Linguistics Olympiad helps members prepare/practice for the NACLO (North American Computational Linguistics Open competition) exams and Online Olympiad in Linguistics. In the spring, CV Linguistics Olympiad will engage in activities to spotlight specific world foreign languages and promote general interest in the field of linguistics.

CV Minds Matter

A place for students to come and practice healthy mental health techniques with each other. Students can talk to other students and feel comfortable sharing their struggles.

The purpose of CV Social Justice Union is to raise awareness about marginalized communities in our local area and around the world. We hope to foster dialogue about social justice issues at the high school and how to solve them.

CV Quiz Bowl / BrainBusters

We work to compete in knowledge based academic competitions locally. We practice with questions from all types of topics to work on speed and recall of knowledge.

Dance Team
Advisor: Natalie Maximowicz
The dance team is a year round program that competes on a varsity level. We begin our year with tryouts in the spring, attend summer camp, hold fundraisers, practice throughout the fall and winter, and compete in the winter months. We perform at varsity football, soccer, basketball, and pep rallies in addition to competing.

Fashion Club

Fashion Club exists to give students a creative outlet and a way to express themselves outside of school through fashion and other activities.

FBLA

Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda is an organization for students who are preparing for careers in business or who are just simply interested in learning more about the free enterprise system. FBLA helps students develop leadership abilities, and prepare for entry into the business world, and advancement within a business or business-related occupation. Students learn how to engage in business enterprise, how to direct the affairs of a group, and how to compete honorably in competitive events, which helps prepare them to be better employees and citizens.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA)

At FCA, students gather to learn more about what it looks like to live out their faith and continually deepen their relationship with Christ. Meetings include a variety of activities such as student-led devotions, small group discussions, guest speakers, games, and eating good food.

French Club

To explore the various aspects of the French Language and Culture in a relaxed, supportive environment.

German Club

German Club is open to all CV high school students who are interested in exploring the German language and culture. Students will participate in fun activities and games while at the same time learning about the traditions of the German culture.
Meeting Information: German Club will meet in room 234 on the first Thursday of every month starting in October. The dates will be Oct 7, Nov 4, Dec 2, Jan 6, Feb 3, March 3, April 7 and May 5.
Girls Who Code

Girls Who Code is a club for 6-12th grade females to teach them to code and inspire them to take STEM courses and/or pursue STEM careers.

Golden Years Club

Golden Years Club is a club designed to give back to the elderly in our community. Club members provide various services at local nursing homes, with the ultimate goal in helping, supporting and befriending the elderly in their golden years of life.

It Takes One

ITO - stands for "It Takes One" - referring to the need for students (bystanders) to support targets of bullying or negative behavior. Students who are involved in the club will be trained to be effective active bystanders. ITO is focused on creating a positive school culture where all students feel safe, welcomed and supported. ITO is a great place to meet other students and help foster a positive school environment.

The Cumberland Valley Pad Project is working towards raising awareness for women's menstrual hygiene in rural regions of developing countries, as well as educating on the difficulties these women face and work hard to help to benefit them. We will also be focusing on helping and providing menstrual products for underprivileged women in our own communities. Our goal is to come together as a group and educate on and benefit those less fortunate than us.

The CV UNICEF club is dedicated to educating members on global issues, and we are especially focused on relating these events to how they affect children. Our club functions primarily through bi-weekly meetings, supply drives, fundraising events, and guest speaker visits. Everyone is welcome to join.

Young Democrats of CV
Advisor: Dakota Miller
The "Young Democrats of CV" would be a club for all students interested in progressive discourse and canvassing. Meetings would address relevant political issues and students would focus on spreading awareness of important political subjects. Students will hopefully have the opportunity to go out and register people to vote, support local candidates in relevant political races, and discuss viewpoints with people of like minded and differing perspectives.
